The best roast I’ve ever had. Such good quality and big portions. Amazing service - staff were so welcoming and accommodating. My boyfriend and I live an hour away but will be back!

We popped in on Monday evening to watch the folk session, organised by Alex Percy. There was a fantastic atmosphere of live, acoustic music surrounded by friendly locals. There was a good selection of beers and ales. A great place to pop in for a visit.
Had a wonderful birthday meal, the food was outstanding. The servtwas friendly and attentive. I would definitely recommend going here for food.

Excellent lunch with different options and not your usual choices either. They do a set menu with 2 or 3 courses as an option. I chose off the normal menu and had aubergine stuffed with a side of fries very good portion and very flavoursome. The other person did the same and had a fishcake, which was much enjoyed. We shared a pudding of poached figs, which again was delicious. Would recommend it and I will return
After a delayed check in, we found the staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast and evening dinner were excellent and the service outstanding. We would recommend booking as there were many walk-ins on a sunny day. Our room was great for 2 parents with a teenage daughter and a springer Spaniel with 2 seperate areas. The location is ideal for walking the Stour valley.
My friend and I have just had the most spectacular Sunday lunch here. The Roast beef just melted in the mouth. Very good value for money. Very welcoming service. Can not fault anything. We shall definitely be returning. Thank you. Trena.
